Enoch Brater

To mark the milestone of fifty years of teaching and scholarship by its renowned Professor Enoch Brater, the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor is presenting a symposium in his honour. Professor Brater has been a leading figure in Beckett scholarship since the 1970s with publications including the influential Why Beckett? (1989) and The Drama in the Text: Beckett’s Late Fiction (1994) as well The Essential Samuel Beckett: An Illustrated Biography (2003) and Ten Ways of Thinking About Samuel Beckett: The Falsetto of Reason (2012).

The symposium will take place at the Rackham East Conference Room on Saturday 5 April from 1PM. Speakers include Patrick Barry, Jessica Brater, Nicholas Delbanco, Dawn Dietrich, Jason Fitzgerald, Deborah Geis, Laura Kasischke, Katherine Kelly, Matthew Martin, James McNaughton, Mike Sell, Tim Slover, Andrew Sofer.
