A brand new Greek translation of Beckett’s unperformed play Eleutheria has just been published by Oblik Editions of Thessaloniki. The translation is the work of noted Beckett scholar Anastasia Deligianni, who also contributes a thorough and scholarly introduction to the book. This particularly handsome paperback volume has a wonderful cover illustration by Nicole Arnold and is a welcome addition to the growing translations of Beckett’s work. More translations are planned by the same team in the near future.
