The latest edition of The Beckett Circle features a commentary piece by renowned critic Angela Moorjani on the issues surrounding gender cross-casting in Beckett’s productions, prompted by Eleanor Green’s excellent piece in our last issue. Doug Atkinson provides a thoughtful review essay on the completion of Gare St Lazare’s mammoth engagement with How it is by surveying the whole of the project’s gestation. Reviews of performances of Beckett works and others inspired by him are filed from Boston to London and from Philadelphia to Foxrock, as well as reviews of two new scholarly collections and a monograph from James Little.
