The latest issue of The Beckett Review, the official publication of the Samuel Beckett Society, has just gone live. Volume 2:1 features the usual blend of news and reviews from around the world keeping the community informed and enlightened on all things Beckett. The current edition features a long essay by Iranian-born theatre director Ali A. Alizad on his thoughts on the author drawn from his experience of directing the work in his native Teheran and his subsequent work and study in Cardiff. Continuing the international theme, there are reviews of Company SJ‘s Irish language production Beckett sa Chreig/Guth na mBan and of recent events celebrating the writer’s work in Germany. There are also book reviews, news from the Society president Liz Barry and a look back at the recent annual conference Beckett and Intertextuality in Antwerp.

The Beckett Review is completely open-access and the latest edition can be found here.
