The Modern Language association has announced that the Samuel Beckett Society has had its status as an allied organisation of the association renewed for another seven years. This significant achievement guarantees a presence for the society in the highly competitive MLA annual convention for the stated period. The Samuel Beckett Society president Laura Salisbury welcomed the news:
We are delighted to let you know that the Samuel Beckett Society’s status as an allied organisation of the Modern Languages Association (MLA) has been renewed for another seven years. This means that we will continue to offer a dedicated Samuel Beckett Society panel at the annual MLA conference. This is an important forum to share new developments in Beckett Studies and to showcase the health and diversity of our field across all career stages.
