At the 2018 MLA Annual Convention, Panel 672 will be devoted to ‘Samuel Beckett and the Discourse of Psychoanalysis’. The panel will include presentations by Daniela Caselli, Arka Chattopadhyay, and Laura Salisbury. It will take place on Saturday 6 January in Sheraton, Madison Square, and run from 5.15pm-6.30pm. The presentations will be as follows:

  • ‘Insufferable Beckett’, Daniela Caselli, University of Manchester
  • ‘Is There a Mental Parallax? Beckett and Psychic Distance’, Arka Chattopadhyay, University of Western Sydney, Sydney
  • ‘From “Waiting for” to “Waiting with”: Beckett, Psychoanalysis, and the Ethics of Intersubjective Time’, Laura Salisbury, University of Exeter, Exeter
