The Samuel Beckett Society is now soliciting nominations for two new Executive Board members.
Any member in good standing may to provide ONE nomination: the SIX most popular nominees will go out for ballot after the nomination deadline. Two members will then be elected to start office in February 2025. The member with the most votes will become Vice President for two years and then succeed to the Presidency in 2027.
Duties of the newly-elected Executive Board Members will include: meeting via Zoom on a quarterly basis; collaborating with other members of the Executive Board; contributing to the organization of the annual conference and the MLA sessions; consulting with the editor of The Beckett Review; and generally advancing the mission of the Samuel Beckett Society.
Board members serve a period of a four-year term. All members in good standing are eligible to stand for election.
To nominate yourself or someone else, please send along the name and email address of the nominee. Nominations should be sent to beckettsociety@gmail.com with the subject heading “Samuel Beckett Society nomination” by MONDAY, 20 JANUARY. Elections will be held shortly thereafter.
