The 23rd edition of the Festival Beckett will take place in Roussillon en Provence from the 15-20 July. Held in the town in which Beckett and Suzanne saw out the last of World War II, this year’s festival offers a combination of theatrical performances, lectures and conversation in convivial and resonant surroundings.

The highlights of this year’s programme include the acclaimed Théâtre de l’Atélier production of Fin de Partie directed by Jacques Osinski, and starring Denis Lavant, Frédéric Leidgens, Claudine Delvaux and Peter Bonke. Equally attractive is a perfomance of Georges Perec’s L’Augmentation directed by Anne-Laure Liégeois and starring Anne Girouard et Olivier Dutilloy. Veteran cinéaste Marin Karmitz will present three of his films includings Comédie (1965), while Marie Iemma-Jejcic will discuss her book Le métier d’être homme – Samuel Beckett, l’invention de soi- même (2021) with Nicolas Doutey.
